Purple Rhapsody is a multi-genre instrumental project from Terry Mallory-Robinson, a composer based in East Midlands, England. This is the 21st album from Terry with the previous ones covering a range from solo piano, electronica, progressive rock, orchestral, and various combinations of each. The primary theme that runs through all the music created by Terry is that of emotions without words - every single track takes listeners on an emotive journey.Terry comments "I've always been inspired by multi-genre artists like Mike Oldfield and Rick Wakeman, and bands that fuse genres together in new and interesting ways like Electric Light Orchestra's early work, Pink Floyd, and others of that era. Add to that a classical upbringing and a love for modern rock and you're bound to get something a bit different!"Apocalypse Suite, the first from Purple Rhapsody to be released through monochrome motif records, is a warning for the human race. Inspired by the need to depict the many conflicting messages we all hear these days, together with the ever more important focus on personal trials and stress, Terry has created a cinematic orchestral album depicting the oncoming apocalypse with tracks about closed-mindedness, apathy, resistance to change, and the last party of the rich as the world crumbles... oh and some swashbuckling too!Terry adds: "Despite the album's message, it isn't intended to give off a negative vibe. I often write music as a catharsis for my own worries and stresses and the result often resonates with others - for me the creative process results in me feeling less stressed and more positive and people have told me they often feel the same after listening."
